My fascination with the endless possibilities the web offers led me to use coding as main medium of my artistic research. I design and develop custom interfaces, ranging from commercial websites to more conceptually and visually driven projects, which intentionally break userfriendliness norms./ The lack of materiality allows the creation of interactive projects that are in a state of constant evolution, forever unfinished./ Navigating between structure and disorder or using playfulness to soften sterile lines is a sensibility shaped by my queerness and background in economics./ While photography holds a central place in my process, I always found it constraining, it has never been the final outcome. I use images as raw material, as data for further experimentation and transformation./ Last but not least, I see the World Wide Web being as much a visual playground and as an information battlefield. Living outside of the major tech platforms, I treat individual websites as act of resistance, these decentralized entities are necessary to shape the future of a more democratic world./ Drop me a line at ronald@ff87c3.eu if you have any digital fantasies./ Programmatically made in Berlin and hosted on servers powered by renewable energy in Switzerland.
